For a Time Like This tells the biblical story of Esther, the brave queen who risks her life to save her people from Haman’s evil plans. This show entertains with comedic characters (Xerxes, Haman), inspiring characters (Esther, Mordecai), and beautiful songs. Songs include Scripture verses and life lessons that will stick in their minds for years, from the upbeat "God Will Remember" to the soaring "For a Time Like This." Two-part harmony enhances several of the songs.

This riser show is designed for at least 25 elementary through middle school performers. There are 18 parts with spoken lines and 3 parts with no lines. Adding dance groups and assigning solos are great ways to add more special roles. All cast members are part of the ensemble, singing in all of the songs except one (there’s a song for just King Xerxes and Esther) - so every cast member is very involved in the show!
